彼自身は控えめでコミュニケーシ
US artist from Kansas City, based in Kyoto and living in Asia for 10+ years. Reserved and struggling with communication, he uses art to express himself and address difficult topics, providing a space for self-reflection. Inspirations include traditional Japanese ukiyo-e, anime/games from the 80s-90s, East-Asian films, indie rock music, themes of intercultural communication/culture shock, and disgust with corporate greed. He is also the artist/animator for the game, “Konsui Fighter.”

2014年から現在も継続中の絵画シリーズ「Fireworks Girls 花火女子」は、日本、中国、台湾、韓国と東南アジアの映画に対す
The Fireworks Girls is an ongoing series I started in 2014 to express my passion for East-Asian and Southeast-Asian cinema. Visual motifs, particularly fireworks, are used as an attention grabber for those who would otherwise dismiss movies of the East. Paired with movie analysis, the goal of the series is to bridge the cultural distance between the East and West, break past the subtitle barrier, and spread awareness of films that are censored in their home countries.
